What we are aiming for, where we actually are, and what to do if something on this site does not work for you.

This policy has been drafted and published in good faith but has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. It reflects how TecZila actually operates. If anything here matters to a decision you are making, ask us and we will confirm it in writing.
Our commitment
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA across this website.
Two laws apply to us. The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) covers organisations operating in Ontario. The European Accessibility Act covers services offered into the European Union. Both point at broadly the same standard, which is the one above.
We also think a company that sells technology competence should be able to demonstrate it on its own site. An inaccessible site from a firm offering to fix your technology is an argument against hiring them.
Where we actually are
We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That means most of the site meets the standard and some parts have not been fully verified.
We are saying "partially" rather than claiming full conformance because full conformance is a strong claim that requires testing we have not completed. Sites that claim it without that testing are usually wrong.
What we have done
- Colour contrast. Every text and background pair is measured, in all three appearance modes. The lowest passing ratio is 4.79:1 against a 4.5:1 requirement. Our brightest brand colours are deliberately excluded from small text on pale backgrounds because they fail, and darker variants are used instead.
- Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator. A skip link is the first thing you reach.
- Semantic structure. Real headings in order, one
h1per page, landmark regions, and lists marked up as lists. - Forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors are announced to screen readers, tied to the field they belong to, and written in words rather than codes.
- Motion. Everything that moves is switched off for anyone whose system requests reduced motion. No animation is required to use the site.
- Text. Scales with your browser settings rather than being fixed. No text is baked into images.
- Appearance. Three modes, one control, and your system preference is respected on a first visit.
Known limitations
Things we know are imperfect, listed because a statement without them is not worth reading:
- Third-party embedded content, such as a booking calendar, is not fully under our control and may not meet the same standard.
- Some longer data tables require horizontal scrolling on very narrow screens.
- We have tested with keyboard navigation and automated tooling, but not yet with a full range of assistive technologies.
None of these are acceptable as permanent states. They are what is outstanding, and this list will shrink.
Sites we build for clients
We build to the same standard by default. Where a client's site includes third-party components — a booking system, a payment widget, an embedded map — those are outside our control and may not meet it.
We will tell you when a component we are recommending has accessibility problems, and suggest an alternative where one exists. We will not quietly ship something we know is inaccessible and let you discover it in a complaint.
Accessibility auditing and remediation as a service is scoped separately from a build.
Tell us what is broken
If something on this site does not work for you, we want to know. It is genuinely the fastest way for us to find problems our testing missed.
Email privacy@teczila.com or call 1-833-TECZILA.
We respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will tell you when we can, and offer another way to get what you needed in the meantime.
Telling us what device, browser and assistive technology you were using helps, but do not let not knowing stop you — describing what happened is enough.
